6岁以下孩子可以打疫苗了

COVID vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna have been authorized for children under 5 years old! Now, anyone who is 6 months old or older is eligible for the vaccine. Over next days and weeks, doctor’s offices, health departments, and some pharmacies will be offering the vaccine for this age group. Visit vaccines.gov to find where there are doses available. Below is the dose schedule for Pfizer and Moderna:

  • Pfizer: 6 months through 4 years of age– 3 doses. The 2nd dose should be given 21 days after the 1st dose and then a 3rd dose 2 months after the 2nd dose.

  • Moderna: 6 months through 5 years of age– 2 doses. The 2nd dose should be given at least 28 days after the 1st dose.

Both have been shown to be safe and effective in the clinical trials. Parents should speak to their pediatrician, health department, or pharmacist to get more information about vaccinating their child.
